Rice: US to Shield and Support Zionist Entity, Militarily and Diplomatically

The United States reassured it is fully and firmly committed to the Zionist entity, stressing that it will continuously work on strengthening its military.

"The United States will continue to maintain "Israel's" military advantage as well as protect it in the diplomatic arena," U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice said Wednesday.

Rice assured in a ceremony held by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations in New York on Thursday that Washington's commitment to the "Israeli" occupation was not and will never be negotiable.

"That commitment spans generations and political parties. It is not negotiable, and it never will be," Zionist newspaper Haaretz quoted Rice as saying.

"Our two countries have a long and extraordinary friendship, going back to the moment that President Truman made the United States the very first country to recognize the State of Israel-11 minutes after it declared its independence," Rice continued.

This comes while the US is playing the mediating role in the peace talks between "Israel" and Palestine.
