Qaouk: ""Israel" Should Know that all the threats and maneuvers are nothing before the equations and surprises of the Resistance in any coming war."

Hizbullah Official in South Lebanon Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said on Sunday that "Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi's recent comments revealed a plot against the Resistance internationally, regionally and possibly domestically."

Qaouk assured that "the national duty is to stay alert to all these schemes" stressing that taking such comments lightly is not merely a mistake, but a "national sin."
Hizbullah official pointed out that "Ashkenzi's linking between the Special Tribunal and the tension in the South was obvious, and what is also obvious is the identity of those who want to invest tension and strife."

"It has become very clear that such issues are related to the "Israeli" goals that are unveiled," Qaouk continued.

During a funeral in Al Saweneh village, Sheikh Qaouk said that the said recent "Israeli" aerial images taken from reconnaissance planes of some houses in the Khiam and Ayta Al Sha'ab villages which "Israel" claims to target in any coming war coincides with the fourth anniversary of the July 2006 war.

Sheikh Qaouk added that this "Israeli" step is an attempt to make up for its defeat and its image before the "Israeli" public opinion, especially after the "Israelis" lost their faith and trust in the "Israeli" army.
He reiterated saying "The Zionist leaders should know very well that all the threats and maneuvers are nothing before the equations and surprises of the Resistance in any coming war."

Qaouk also said that anti-UNIFIL protests by residents in the South were a result of international pressure on the peacekeeping forces to change their rules of engagement, but the conscience of the people and the efforts of the Lebanese army blocked the way before any attempts of "Israeli" blackmail or exploitation of international and internal users.

"UNIFIL's admission of errors, its promise to hold those involved accountable and affirmation of the Lebanese army's authority in the South forms the way to leave these incidents behind," Qawouk said, reminding that ""Israel" has been practicing international pressure through the influence it has on the Security Council, which in turn exerts pressure on the peacekeeping forces to change their rules of engagement.

Qawouk also stated that the Lebanese army has discovered "Israel" is asking UNIFIL to search particular houses in the South, which is a conviction to "Israel" and evidence to the "Israeli" ongoing attempts to target the UNIFIL's role in South Lebanon.
