"Israeli" Telecom Agent Allowed Enemy to Determine Geographical Locations of Alfa Users "Israeli" Telecom
Recently arrested agent to "Israel" Charbel Kazzi is still under investigation. Lebanese army investigators have been inspecting the Alfa network system in attempt to determine the arrestee's capabilities.
The investigations revealed that the agent had passwords that allow him to have access to any computer with internet connection, whether inside or outside the company building, as well as to the private Alfa network data.
This means that the "Israeli" intelligence has the capability to control these data from its location in the occupied Palestinian Territories, or from any other location in the world.
In parallel, well-informed sources told Al Akhbar newspaper that the arrested has profound knowledge in the company's technical secrets.
Kazzi underwent several advanced training courses in the company Alfa (previously known as Cellis). Accordingly, the Lebanese army intelligence unit assigned a technical group to study the arrestee's technical and practical potentials.
Furthermore, the security investigators are studying Kassi's job position and the authority and access his job provides him with, which enables them to ask him the proper questions in order to get detailed information and determine the level of "Israeli" penetration of the Lebanese network.
The agent not only facilitated the enemy's mission to eavesdrop on phone conversations and allow it to determine the phones users' location, but also has the ability to manipulate cell phone data by simply adding or deleting any information he wants. Kazzi also had the ability to record fake telephone data that do not exist in first place.
Al Akhbar newspaper quoted a security-technical expert who pointed out that recording false telephonic data is a simple operation very similar to that of the "blind message" technique "Israelis" use to determine the cell phone users' location.
This technique relies on sending invisible text messages to the cell phone user, which means that the user does not know he received a message neither does the message appear in his inbox.
The user's phone also sends an invisible message that does not appear in the sent items. These messages allow the "Israelis" to determine the user's geographical location.
Up Until Tuesday, the arrested who's acquaintances regarded him as highly intelligent, has been cooperating with the investigators but "very slowly". Sources said that his arrest revealed certain facilitations Alfa network provides in accessing extremely confidential data.
According to these sources, Kazzi's was recruited in 1996, as he used to frequently attend the occupied borders region, to install and maintain telecom stations.
Moreover, Kazzi had relatives in Jezzine, in South Lebanon who were active in "Lahed" militia. One of those militants recruited him to work for the "Israeli" intelligence, where he later on traveled to the occupied Palestinian Territories to meet with his recruiters.
After the 2000 Liberation of South Lebanon, Kazzi started meeting with his recruiters in European countries, especially in France, where he used to receive huge sums of money.
