Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei called on the nation and officials to be cautious against enemy plots and deception.

In a speech he delivered on Saturday marking the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS), His Eminence called on the audience to be alert against the enemy's deception and lies.
H.E. talked about Imam Ali's exceptional personality, as being in climax of science, morals, and divine virtues, and talked about his characteristics and actions in facing the enemy.

Sayyed Khamenei said, "The sign and clear path that the Commander of the Faithful (in reference to Imam Ali (AS)) presents, is management of Islamic society through Islamic injunctions, strong confrontation against the opposing enemies, demarcation of transparent and clear line with enemies and vigilance against deception of enemies."

He added that the Muslim world and community need information as arms because enemies use religion and ethics in confronting Islam.

"So, one should be fully watchful," he assured.

His Eminence indicated that, "When the Westerners want to deceive public opinion in non-Muslim societies, they do that under the guise of human rights and democracy and when public opinion in Muslim states are their target, they use Islam and Quran to reach their goal while having not the least belief in Islam, Quran and human rights."

Sayyed Khamenei praised Iranian people's big achievements and success, assuring that Iran successfully translated the Iranian revolution's main slogans into action.

"Gone is the era when the colonialist powers were free to humiliate and threaten nations," H.E. said, adding that the Iranian nation is now globally known as a powerful nation.
