German Jews En Route to Free Gaza
German-Jewish Organization, entitled Jewish Voice for Peace in the Middle East prepares now a Jewish Flotilla to set sail to the Gaza Strip.
Kate Leitrer, a member of the organization, said, "We have one small craft so far, in which there will be between 12 and 16 people, mostly Jews".
As a Jew, Leitrer expressed that there is great concern of joining the flotilla.
Leitrer also considered the previous "Israeli" attack on the Turkish-led Freedom Flotilla, was criminal and brutal.
"The head of United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) appealed to the world to send ships due to the shortage of important supplies in Gaza. By stopping the flotilla, "Israel" acted criminally. "Israel" must not act like pirates", Kate Leitrer said.
"We haven't heard there were weapons on the last flotilla, and people were shot and killed there," she added.
She continued that they have contacted "Israel" figures and told them they are welcome to carry out searches on the boats, but asked to be allowed to continue to Gaza, insisting that these are Gazan waters, and "Israel" must not control them.
Another German Jewish member of the peace organization, Edith Lutz, revealed that the ships are already set in Mediterranean waters, still receiving requests from Jewish and non-Jewish participants to take part in the Jewish German Flotilla.
The German convoy began its organization in Germany, but now it's receiving calls and requests to participate from England, Sweden, and the US. The number of ships might increase, including one mainly carrying reporters, Lutz revealed.
