Ban Ki-moon Calls "Israel" to Lift Siege off Gaza

After the Monday deadly raid on Gaza aid flotilla, the worldwide protests against "Israel", and the international condemnation to the "Israeli" aggression, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon demanded "Israel" to lift its blockade of the Gaza Strip immediately.
Speaking on his return from visits to Brazil, Malawi and Uganda, UN chief told reporters that the underlying problem behind Monday's tragedy was the long-running, crippling "Israeli" siege of Gaza, which he described as "counter-productive, unsustainable and wrong."
Ban Ki-moon assured that he is looking at "various options" to conduct the "prompt, credible, impartial and transparent" investigation of the incident.
He said "Israeli" authorities must provide a "full and detailed account" of the commando raid on Gaza aid flotilla.
He also noted that the Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council earlier Wednesday set up an independent international investigation into the "Israeli" raid.
