Safiyeddine: Zionists Bear Full Responsibility for Safety & Health of all Lebanese & Non-Lebanese Detainees

Chairman of Hizbullah Executive Council, Sayyed Hashem Safiyeddine said the crime committed by the Zionists against the Freedom Flotilla Fleet while on its wa Gaza to break its siege, "confirms yet again ‘Israel's' hostile nature. We have long drawn attention to its threats, to the dangers of turning a blind eye to this fact and to the nature of these Zionists in their project as witnessed by the whole world, just as we have seen all ‘Israel's' horrendous massacres in Gaza and Qana-Lebanon."

During the launch celebration of "My family my happiness" campaign, organized by the Civil Campaign for the Promotion of Family Culture, Sayyed Safiyeddine drew attention to the need for some who still doubt ‘Israel's' nature, to abandon these illusions, because "‘Israel' is hostile by nature, ready to commit massacres against unarmed civilians and children just about anytime, just for the sake of achieving its own political objectives."

"From now on, it is not permissible to deal with this entity by turning a blind eye to its nature, or by making the people cling to a mirage, imagination or illusions of politics, negotiations and settlements," the official added.

On the American stand, Sayyed Safiyeddine clarified that, "It is not surprising, we are used to seeing the U.S. provide this kind of cover and support together with most Western nations. Their concern in such events is to quickly provide political cover, ease the atmospheres and prevent any tensioning in global stands towards the Zionists."

Sayyed Safiyeddine indicated that the U.S. position, "was ridiculous and malicious. In no way does it reflect taking responsibility or upholding any of the bright logos the U.S. long talks about to the world. What happened over Gaza reveals the true nature of the U.S. position."

Sayyed Hashem Safiyeddine confirmed that, "What happened to the ‘Freedom Flotilla' fleet that was heading into Gaza, brought the real tragedy back into the spot light, of thousands of Palestinian families suffering under siege who cannot get help from anyone in the world as everyone is barred from extending a helping hand to those trapped in Gaza."

"No one in this world can claim to believe in freedom and the defense of human rights, and still ignore these repeated ‘Israeli' massacres through siege!" stressing that "From now on, all efforts and capabilities should focus on breaking the unjust siege on Gaza. The official Arab regime is required to take a position that focuses on breaking the siege as the main objective," his eminence continued.

Sayyed Safiyeddine also praised the honorific Turkish position, pointing out that those who consider themselves involved in the Palestinian cause and what goes on in Palestine ought to at least emulate the stands taken by Turkey and other countries, who on previous occasions cut off relations with the Zionist entity during its aggression on Gaza.
"Which position Arab countries can talk to their people about, when they continue holding relations with the Zionists", His Eminence wondered.

Sayyed Safiyeddine concluded saying, "The Zionists bear full responsibility for the safety and health of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese detainees", adding that "Their release is supposed to be swift", and that "The ‘Israelis' must not receive any price for the release of the detainees, instead they must be punished and pay the price."
