The Friends of Lebanon campaign has called for strong action on the "Israeli" crime committed last Monday.

Friends of Lebanon pointed out that there are some 15 British activist missing among those on board the flotilla convoy, calling for international action before another crisis occurs.
The text of the Friends of Lebanon letter came as follows:

Outrage
On the 9th of August 2006, Sarah Colbourne came eagerly toting a Palestine Solidarity Campaign banner to display at a demonstration adjacent to the "Israeli" Embassy that had been called by Friends of Lebanon during the July War. Then we went together to Downing Street to continue our protest. She did this because she cares about people. It is the same reason she joined the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. Now she is one of the 16 British citizens who still unheard from, still reported as missing.

On 31st May 2010 Londoners staged more demonstrations against the ongoing "Israeli" atrocities, this time moving from Downing to Kensington Street-back to the "Israeli" Embassy, the representative of the entity that has executed this and so many other humanitarian disasters. The British public cannot continue to tolerate these atrocities.

The Gaza Freedom Flotilla represents all of us who care about a people besieged. The Flotilla is nothing more than 700 civilians on board seven ships, of whom 28 are British citizens, who are willing to risk their lives to tell the Western-"Israeli" Alliance that the systematic murder of the Palestinians of Gaza is unjust and illegal. Friends of Lebanon wholeheartedly support the mission of the Flotilla.

But as we picked up some of the same placards we have carried over the past nearly four years, it becomes striking to note that this latest tragedy is hardly unexpected. The cause remains entrenched. The world cannot afford to sleep while it awaits the next crisis.
