Report: Lowest Approval Index on Obama’s Role as US President

The Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll revealed today in an update that 23% of US voters approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) strongly disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22.
That's the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for this president, according to the report.
Enthusiasm for the president among Democrats, which bounced following passage of the health care law, has faded again.
Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-five percent (56%) disapprove.

Most Americans have "come to believe that the political system is broken, that most politicians are corrupt, and that neither major political party has answers," observes Scott Rasmussen.
Just 27% believe Congress knows what it's doing when it comes to the economy and 41% say that a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress.
