As they're not able to differentiate whether the goods are from West Bank settlements or inside the Green Line, two Italian supermarkets announced that they are to boycott "Israeli" products off their market.

By the end of the month, Coop and Nordiconad Italian grocery chains will remove "Israeli" products and goods from their shelves.

In a statement issues by grocery chain Coop Italia, it mentioned having a problem with "Traceability, namely that the consumer is unable to verify whether or not the product in question comes from occupied territories".

According to the Stop Camel-Agrexco Web site, which is an Italian based coalition dedicated to the boycott of "Israel's" top agricultural exporters, "This was an important success for the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israeli apartheid."

The website added that the boycott against "Israeli" good's campaign in the Italian supermarkets started last January in the coordination of both Italy and France.

The statement published by the Coop Italia chain urged everyone to participate in "this struggle for respect for international law, and freedom and self-determination for the Palestinian people".
