Minister Hajj Hassan Supervised Port Investigation over Spoiled Wheat

Last Wednesday, a shipment of spoiled Ukrainian wheat reached Beirut port on an Egyptian ship, and was directly put under investigation by Lebanese judicial and security firms.

In this context, Minister of Agriculture, Hussein Hajj Hassan, confirmed that the ministry ordered an investigation to reveal the ones responsible of unloading the cargo before it was subject to necessary analysis. As a result, Hajj Hassan said that he will be reviewing and following up the procedures taken concerning the port.

In maintenance of the citizens' safety, Minister of Agriculture referred to a communication and cooperation with each, Minister of Public Works and Transportation Ghazi Aridi, Minister of Economy Mohammad Safadi, and Minister of Finance Rayya Hassan.

Minister Hajj Hassan assured that his presence in the port during investigation rolls, and his personal follow up of the situation, are to guarantee its non-recurrence.
