Hungarian Parliament makes Holocaust denial "illegal"
Hungary's Parliament has passed a bill making Holocaust denial "a criminal offense".
The legislation approved on Monady in the presence of Jewish community leaders would mandate prison terms of up to three years for those found guilty of publicly "denying, questioning or making light of the Holocaust."
The legislation awaits approval of Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom who must sign the measure into law or return the draft to Parliament for further consideration.
Solyom has warned that he would approach any attempt at restricting the right of free speech with great caution.
The Hungarian President had previously declined to sign a similar bill in 2007, to the disappoint of leaders of Zionist organizations.
The current proposal involves changing three lines in the criminal code, passed 197-1, with 142 abstentions by lawmakers from the center-right Fidesz Party and its allies after a Fidesz proposal to include the denial of Nazi and communist crimes in the bill was rejected.

We, the Hungarian people are angry because of the new rule. Hungary is an occupied country and this decision was made in Tel Aviv, not in Budapest. The govenrnment serves the interests of the Israeli politicians and they sold a lot of lands and companies to Jewish businessmen in the past few years. They want to break the soul of the National Resistance with the new law because there will be the elections on 11 April. We wont support with our votes the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) and the so-called opposition party Fidesz (Alliance of Young Democrats) because both party has Israeli ties and interrests. We want new parties and new political system wich won't let the occupiers to get our lands and natural supplies.- Related News
