You Have the Right to Remain Silent
Hamas movement Commander in Gaza, Mahmoud Al Mabhouh was assassinated in Dubai on January 19 in his hotel room and since then the tornado of questions hasn't stopped looming around the region.
On Thursday the Dubai police Chief Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, said that he wanted Mossad chief Meir Dagan to be arrested if the agency was behind the assassination of Mahmoud Al Mabhouh.
The Public Prosecution of Dubai issued an international arrest warrant against 11 suspected murders of European nationals, including 6 Britons, 3 Irish, 1 French and 1 German, for masterminding and executing the assassination.
The Dubai Police said that the assassin group used hi-tech communication tools that couldn't be seized by the Emirates communication channels.
Britain, France and Ireland denied the nationalities of the suspects saying that they believe the passports used by the killers were fake.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said his government is investigating.
Reuters published that a French intelligence service announced that a French passport -which Dubai said was used in the operation- had a valid number but incorrect name.
On Thursday as well the Irish government, it said the investigation on the 3 Irish passports is still in process, and they are still trying to reach the citizens whose passport numbers were used on what they considered forgeries recorded in Dubai.
Meanwhile, a member of Mossad, the "Israeli" intelligence service, said the British Foreign Office and was also told hours before a Hamas terrorist chief was assassinated in Dubai, as Britain was tipped off that "Israeli" agents were going to carry out an 'overseas operation' using fake British passports.
As for the European Commission, it declined commenting on the assassination of Mahmoud Al Mabhouh which is believed to have been done by the "Israeli" spy agency Mossad.
The European Commission said that they aren't concerned about this matter at this stage for they believed it is a matter between "Israel" and Britain.
Hamas representative to Lebanon, Ousama Hamdan commented on the European stance. He told Moqawama.com that the fact that 11 killers had European passports puts us in a circle of questions.
Hamdan said that this isn't a pleasant issue whether it was true or not. "If it's true it means that Europe was a partner in the crime and therefore it must bear the consequences, and if it was false and untrue it should be taken to hold, otherwise there is an implied consent."
Hamdan added that it was stated that the passports are valid yet the names and the images aren't identical. That means that "Israel" has succeeded in penetrating the information network of the citizens and their identity, which means that such securities can no longer be trusted.
Hamdan said the authorities in Dubai said that there was a clear "Israeli" breakthrough. "That is very dangerous, and must be taken into consideration from now on." He said.
He was wondering whether Europe will fall under the weight of "Israel" to a point where it becomes a rebel on Europe, or whether Europe will take a firm stance towards "Israel".
Hamdan reminded that Europe is usually strict when it comes to its own benefit, and firmly stands in the way of any issue that opposes its benefit. "It is kind of weird how Europe didn't take a stance when it comes to "Israel" this time." he said.
He continued that so far Europe has failed in providing any initiative. That draws a huge question mark over the future of Europe's relationship with the region in general.
He ended by saying that the Dubai Police are doing a great job and that there's more to come on this issue in the upcoming days, for the Dubai Police have a lot to reveal.
