Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwar Saheli told NBN television on Tuesday that everyone should wait for the probe results of last month's Ethiopian plane crash before jumping to conclusions. He noted that the black box will reveal the course of events that led to the accident.

In response to media reports that foreign search vessels offered assistance in the search operations under false pretenses, Saheli said such statements are very dangerous. However, he added it is crucial to establish a Lebanese unit specialized in crisis management.

He also touched on some leaders' decision to celebrate Saint Maroun's Day in Syria, saying such a trip is normal given that Saint Maroun is buried in the country. Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun, Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Franjieh, Energy Minister Gebran Bassil and former President Emile Lahoud headed to Aleppo on Monday.

"General Aoun is not dividing the Christian community, but others are doing so. Aoun is defending the interests of the Christians, not only in Lebanon, but in the region," he said.
The FPM leader was able to bolster the Christians' position in the Arab world after the 2006 July War, he added.
