"Israeli" army resources mentioned that Gabi Ashkenazi, "Israeli" army commander, is willing to set a change in the law of the Zionist military service, by increasing the days of service of the reservist troops. This act aims at having a total readiness within the troops incase of war.

The Zionist Ma'ariv newspaper mentioned that according to some proceeding talks between Ashkenazi and important officers and reservist troops in the enemy's militia, it seems that they intend on increasing the days of military service. Currently, the reservist troops are summoned once every three years to participate in specific military operations, and they are also summoned once every two years for a five-day training period.

The newspaper clarified that this situation has started a gap within the "Israeli" army, which caused a great deal of fallback in the ability and the performance of the army, incase the reservists were summoned for a big military confrontation.

The newspaper further stated that the talks now revolve over summoning the reservist troops at least once every two year in order to participate in military operations. In addition to that, the number of training days is to increase to more than five days annually and not every two years, where some of the reservist troops are working on that before the announcement of Ashkenazi's decision.
