#Daesh Claims Bomb Blast on #Shia Gathering in Baghdad

At least 31 people had been martyred and a further 30 wounded on Saturday according to police and medics in Baghdad after a Takfiri suicide bomber detonated an explosive belt in the middle of a Shia gathering.

The explosion went off inside a tent filled with people taking part in Ashura processions, mourning the martyrdom of Prophet Mohammad’s grandson, Imam Hussein [AS], in the 7th century.

The tent was set up in a crowded market in the city’s northern al-Shaab district.

Daesh [Arabic acronym for "ISIS"/ "ISIL"] had taken responsibility for the latest terrorist attack to rock Iraq.
