#Pakistani Troops Kill 9 Militants near #Afghan Border

Pakistan’s army said its jets and ground forces destroyed six militant hideouts in a northwestern tribal region, killing nine "terrorists" in the latest operation near the Afghan border.

The military said its warplanes also destroyed an ammunition dump used by militants in the Khyber tribal region.

The military added it has killed 35 militants in the latest operation, which was launched in Khyber earlier this week.

Pakistan has been waging military offensives against militants in the country’s tribal regions since June 2014.

The army has claimed success, but militants have still managed to launch attacks in major cities.
