6.2 Quake Hits Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain

The US Geological Survey reported that a strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck early Monday in the Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain.
The shallow quake hit at 04:22 GMT some 62 kilometers north of the Moroccan city of al-Hoceima and 164 kilometers east-southeast of Gibraltar.
The initial assessment of the quake’s impact said there was "a low likelihood of casualties and damage."
In parallel, it was followed by a 5.3-magnitude tremor.
