Suicide Car Bomb Martyrs at Least 15 in Baghdad

A suicide car bomb attack on a security checkpoint in Kazimiya neighborhood in Baghdad claimed  at least 15 martyrson Tuesday, including MP Ahmad Khafaji, the third deadly bombing in four days, medical sources said.

Several policemen were also among those martyred and the blast also left at least 23 people wounded, a health ministry official and a hospital source both said.

On Monday, three attacks in Baghdad claimed the lives of at least 43 people, including one attack on the edge of Kadhimiyah.

Kadhimiyah was already one of two areas targeted in double bombings that left more than 40 martyred on Saturday.
