6.2-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Alaska

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Alaska on Thursday and was felt in the largest city Anchorage, the US Geological Survey reported.

The earthquake struck about 80 miles northwest of Anchorage, according to the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of major damage, although the epicenter of the quake was in a relatively rural area.
