Iran, Russia to Sign Economic Cooperation Agreement

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Ali Majedi said on Tuesday that Iran and Russia are scheduled to sign an agreement to boost economic cooperation.

Majedi said that the agreement is to be signed by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak on Tuesday afternoon.

A Russian delegation headed by Novak is in Iran’s capital Tehran to attend the 11th meeting of Iran-Russia Business Council.

The council is to discuss energy, transportation, banking, industry and mining, agriculture and insurance ties between Tehran and Moscow.
