U.S. F-15 Military Jet Crashes in Virginia: Pentagon

An American F-15C military jet crashed in the U.S. state of Virginia on Wednesday, officials said. 

Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Tom Crosson said on Wednesday that the aircraft was part of the Air National Guard’s 104th Fighter Wing from Westfield, Massachusetts.

The jet went down in a rural area near the town of Deerfield in George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, said Jenny McNeal from the Augusta County Sheriff’s office.
