Paris Braces For Fresh Pro-Gaza Protests

The French capital braces for a fresh protest against the "Israeli" offensive on seized Gaza on Wednesday after the government had banned several weekend protests.

The French government, whose ban on several weekend protests failed spectacularly after they went ahead anyway, decided to authorize Wednesday’s protest in Paris after discussions with organizers who gave "security guarantees," French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said.

Other demonstrations are to be held in the cities of Lyon, Toulouse, Lille and Reims on Wednesday.

Another demonstration is due to be held in Paris on Saturday.
