Syrians Show Solidarity with al-Assad in Cuba

Syrian students and the community in Cuba staged a sit-in outside the Syrian embassy in Cuba to commemorate Syria’s 68th anniversary of Independence Day, as SANA news agency reported on Friday.

The participants reiterated in a statement of Friday their full support of Syria’s leadership and Army in confronting terrorism aimed at their country.
They also planted two olive trees in front of the Embassy, pointing out that they planted them to express peace, tolerance and friendship with Cuba, as the country that supports Syria against foreign-backed aggression.

They hailed the successive victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army, voicing confidence that Syria will come out of this war victorious.
The participants raised national flags and pictures of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
