Saudi Arabia Fourth Leading Country in Military Spending

Saudi Arabia is the fourth major purchaser of military equipment in the Middle East and has doubled its military expenditure over the past decade, according to a recent report released on Monday.

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said in a report on Monday that Saudi Arabia spent USD 67 billion in 2013 on arms, which indicates a 14-percent increase compared to 2012.

According to the figures, the Saudi regime’s military budget ranks fourth in the world, following Britain, Japan and France.
