"Israel" has accused Lebanon of violating Resolution 1701 through a formal complaint to the United Nations on Monday.

The Arab diplomatic sources in New York said that the "Israeli" complaint to the UN was based on the statement by Hizbullah Secretary General, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, which came in an interview with the Lebanese as-Safir daily last Monday.

During the interview on Monday, His Eminence confirmed that the "Israeli" patrols which were exposed to an improvised explosive device in the Shebaa Farms on March 14, 2014, was in response to the "Israeli" raid on Janta.

The "Israeli" mission report to UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, and the UN Security Council members considered that the announcement of His Eminence "is evidence" of the violation, sources pointed out.

"Israel" has routinely violated UN resolutions through breaching Lebanese airspace, borders, and territorial waters.
