The Secretary General of Hizbullah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, sent a telex today to Sayyed Ammar Hakim to offer his condolences after the death of his father His Eminence Sayyed Abdel-Aziz Hakim, who passed away in one of Tehran's hospitals today after suffering an incurable disease.

This is the text of the telegram:

In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate;

Dear brother, Your Eminence Sayyed Ammar Hakim (May god give you protection),
Peace and God's mercy be upon you...

I would like to express my and the feelings of your brothers here in Hizbullah to you, for we are deeply saddened by the departure of our great brother, His Eminence Sayyed Abdel Aziz Hakim (May God have mercy on his soul) from this world to be next to his blessed fathers and forefathers, after a lifetime of study and work, inviting and people preaching to follow God, in a life of migration, Jihad, struggle, endurance and enormous sacrifices, in order to uphold Islam, and save, dignify and elevate the standing of the oppressed people of Iraq.

I extend our warmest and most heartfelt condolences during this momentous ordeal to you, to your noble family, to your dear brethren in the Supreme Council, and to the patient and oppressed Iraqi people.

I ask God Almighty to be merciful toward our great departed, to include him with the chaste prophets, messengers and Imams (peace be upon them), and to inspire you with patience and fortitude, to accept and be content with God's justice and will.

We are confident that, God willing, you will firmly and resolutely continue on this path of jihad and struggle, until you achieve his goals and aspirations, in the process of which many martyrs from your noble family have spent their lives, at their forefront the great martyr Ayatollah Mohammad Baqer Hakim (may God be pleased with his soul)
