"Israeli" reinforcements in Kfar Shouba, residents threaten to remove military post

As-Safir newspaper reported on Monday that 'Israel' dispatched a Merkava tank and several soldiers as reinforcements after the residents of Kfar Shouba Hills cut the barbed wire laid by 'Israeli' Occupation Forces around two weeks ago near Baathaiil Lake, which falls within Lebanese territory, and staked the Lebanese flag over an 'Israeli' observation post.

The deployment of 'Israeli' tanks and soldiers is a message to intimidate the residents against any action, according to the daily, adding that they are threatening to organize a protest if 'Israel' does not remove its military post.

The daily also said that the residents are waiting for the outcome of the UNIFIL-'Israeli' negotiations regarding the issue or "else we will remove the post ourselves."
