Shibani: Iran blesses Lebanon´s democracy

Iranian Ambassador in Lebanon Mohammad Rida Shibani said, "The Islamic republic of Iran stands sincerely with all the oppressed people of the world, especially the Palestinian and Iraqi peoples, and it stands with the Lebanese government, its people, and its honest resistance in the face of the "Israeli" enemy."

Shibani's comments came during an event held in the UNESCO conference center, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the death of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added, "We are ready to help Lebanon and establish good bilateral relations, and we bless every democratic process that demonstrates the choices of the Lebanese people through the upcoming elections."
