Shibani: Iranian projects in Lebanon done in coordination with cabinet
Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Reza Shibani said that "all the projects, which Iran did to wash out the aftermath of the ‘Israeli' aggression on Lebanon during the July 2006 War, was done in full agreement, coordination and cooperation between the two governments."
After a meeting with Prime Minister Fouad Saniora at the Grand Serail on Tuesday, Shibani said, "Iran officially told the Lebanese cabinet that its brotherly assistance for Lebanon had no limit, and there are many projects still underway."
"We have informed his Excellency, Saniora, that Iranian aid includes maintenance and reconstruction of roads, bridges, schools, religious places and centers, the building of public gardens and restoring electricity to the destroyed buildings and villages."
Iran was assisting Lebanon "out of moral and religious obligation toward Lebanon and its resilient people," the ambassador said, adding, that the final cost of each project would be reported to the cabinet at the end of its completion.
