Tehran - Head of Iran's expert delegation to the meeting of information ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Parviz Karami said on Tuesday that certain Arab states were isolated for supporting the Zionist regime.

The OIC expert meeting was held in Rabat, Morocco, on January 26 focusing on major issues facing the Islamic world including the savage massacre by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip as well as the resumption of the activity of the International Islamic News Agency (IINA).

The Iranian delegation suggested the OIC member states to avoid using the word "Israel" in their final statements to refer to the usurper regime of the holy Quds.

The Iranian delegation strongly protested to delegates from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan who had repeatedly referred to the Zionist entity as "Israel" to show their support for the usurper regime.

Iran's protest was strongly supported by delegations from Sudan, Turkey and Qatar who supported the oppressed people of Palestine, the Gazans in particular.

The 22-day savage attacks of the Zionist regime on Gaza which had started in December 27, 2008, left more than 1,300 killed and around 5,000 injured mostly women and children.

At the 8th meeting of the OIC member states information ministers which was held in Rabat on January 28, the Iranian delegation headed by Minister of Culture and the Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi proposed a joint legal committee be established by the 57-nation OIC to initiate legal action against the "Israeli" leaders for the crimes against humanity and war crimes they perpetrated in the Gaza Strip.
