Hezbollah issued the following statement:

Hezbollah congratulates the Syrian leadership and the brotherly Syrian people on the liberation of the al-Hajar al-Aswad and Yarmouk camps, the last terrorist strongholds around Damascus.

Hezbollah praises the courage and efficiency of the Syrian Arab Army officers and soldiers and their allies who have made this new victory possible. Hezbollah also acknowledges the enormous sacrifices made.

Furthermore, Hezbollah believes that the success of the Syrian Army and its allies in the elimination of Daesh [Arabic acronym for "ISIS" / "ISIL"] in this region is a major achievement that fully secured Damascus and its outskirts from terrorist attacks. This is a new victory achieved by the Resistance axis in its efforts to free the entire Syrian territory from the aggressors.
