IRGC Deny Supplying Yemen’s Ansarullah with Missiles - Reports

Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition bombing Yemen claimed that seven missiles launched from the war-torn country toward Saudi territory have been intercepted.

"Everyone knows that all routes to send arms to Yemen are blocked," political deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Crops [IRGC]," Tasnim cited Brigadier General Yadollah Javani as saying.

"Yemenis have reached the capability to produce their own defensive weapons including missiles; an achievement that has been inconceivable to Saudis," he added.

Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition on Monday threatened retaliation against Iran as the Ansarullah missiles were launched at its territory, AFP reported.

Tehran, in its turn, repeatedly denied providing the country's revolutionary with military equipment, while admitting political support for the group.

Since 2015, Yemen has been under a brutal military campaign by a Saudi-led international coalition, claiming the lives of thousands, injuring others and displacing much more.

The war has also caused epidemics, diseases and starvation due to lack of food and medical equipment as a result of the heavy blockade imposed on all ports and exits of the country.
