Ibrahim Al-Amin

The war is ongoing.

Today and after a long period of suffering, the historical meaning of the war to liberate Lebanon from the "Israeli" occupation in 2000 can be understood. The state of madness that governs the American and "Israeli" enemy and all the forces and governments allied to them can be understood. History tells us about the extent of their decades-long attachment to the West and "Israel". All of them were hit on the head the day the enemy thought it had closed the gate of Lebanon to Palestine.

The Time of Confrontation with the Originals

Those who gather political and economic facts and record events that have unfolded in Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and the rest of the Arab world understand how our enemy knew very well that there is someone who decided to remove it from existence, even after a while, and that there is someone who showed the ability to accomplish this mission. When the enemy faced the Second Intifada in 2001, then the liberation of the Gaza Strip in 2005, and then the failure of the July 2006 war, the whole hostile world realized that it was not a strike of luck, but a sure course.

Today, the series of events and pressures against the Iranian and Syrian governments as well as the resistance forces in Lebanon and Palestine can be evoked in the context of retaliatory sanctions and a harsh war. They were events that accompanied the confrontation between "Israel" and its resistance. At each stage, the enemies resorted to a style and a method. It was not long before they proved that the most difficult battle would be tearing the country apart from the inside and endangering the lives of its citizens, if those citizens failed to oppose the governments and forces fighting the Americans and their allies including "Israel" and others.

It was not too long before the Americans were too self-confident and believed that statements and administrative decisions could remove the biggest resistance movement in the history of the conflict with "Israel". Since then, the response was the launching of an ongoing operation to isolate Iran and starve it, to destroy Iraq and its capabilities, to break up Syria and its society, and to blockade and strike the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine. Because the enemy knows the truth of the matter - perhaps more than the people of this region, the war is no longer being carried out individually. It is an all-out war against all those who participated in planning, financing, supporting and implementing the continuous resistance battle against the American and "Israeli" occupation of our country. In this context, the decision was to destroy Syria.

In the coming decades, there will be stories and studies on the local root of the crisis in Syria. Statistics and reports seeking to distribute responsibility among the parties of confrontation will be issued. Each side will tell the truth in its own way. But no one will be able to confront the fact that the United States, with the participation of its French and British allies along with "Israel" and Saudi Arabia, did not stop for a day, an hour or a moment from stabbing the Syrian body in order to eliminate it. It will not stop from doing so in the near future.

The American overdose in self-confidence has hit "Israel" as well as Arab and regional countries involved in the war itself, such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. This has been reflected in raising efforts to push the Syrians or those who support them to carry on with the continuous suicide operations. This is reflected in the insistence of the Syrian armed groups (not the revolution, nor the revolutionaries, but a group of bandits and murderers) on the destruction of their country.

But what has changed, and what makes things more complicated?

In fact, it can be said today that the United States, along with France, Britain, "Israel", and regional countries such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, or small players such as Qatar and Jordan, now have to work themselves to try and achieve success or victory, or to prevent their opponents' victory from becoming a stepping stone for a greater operation to remove all kinds of occupations as well as all traces of colonialism and its wars.

Threats of imminent and major military operations against Syria that we are hearing of in this period only reflect the fact that our enemy has two choices: either to engage directly in battle or to withdraw and wait for its ominous fate. Because we have experience with our enemies and know them well, it is more likely and logical that the enemy resorts to the first option. This requires dealing with a high degree of seriousness and readiness amid threats of a confrontation that would reshape the image of the region, its countries, and their borders and sovereignty.

What is certain until now is that "Israel" has received an American pledge to directly stand by its side in any future war, and that the US military will be on the ground at the moment of confrontation. What is certain, too, is that the Americans, along with the French and the British, will be forced into direct involvement in hostile military and security actions against the government and its allies in Syria. According to the apparent procedures and preparations, the Americans want to strike Syria, in which "Israel" has a share. The strike is aimed at hurting the Syrian government civically, politically and militarily. This means that offices and institutions that symbolize the Syrian state are subjected to harsh military operations as well as harshly hitting the Syrian army and its headquarters to weaken it and prevent it from restoring state control over other areas in Syria while raising the morale of the militants and pushing them to regain some of what they lost in the past two years.

The real questions today are: Will such military operations lead the region into an all-inclusive confrontation? Will Russia be a party in it? Have the United States and "Israel" taken sufficient precautions to prevent the confrontation from spiraling towards situations they do not expect or want, in terms of battlefields and quality?
