Hezbollah issued the following statement:
The decision to set a date for moving the US embassy to al-Quds in mid next May continues the aggression that was started by US President Donald Trump months ago, which is a part of the continued scheme to Judaize al-Quds and abort the Palestinian cause.
The timing of this decision, coinciding with the Palestinian catastrophe's anniversary, insists on humiliating Arabs and Muslims and uncovers the US administration's ridiculing of the Arab and Muslim nations, in addition to all of the so-called international community.
It is quite sure that the official Arab involvement encouraged Washington to go forward in its aggressive decision and even speed up the process of implementing it.
As Hezbollah strongly condemns this decision, it calls the Arab and Muslim peoples and all the free people of the world to hold influential movements to expose this aggression and stand up against it. Hezbollah further considers that the resistance and the uprising are the only meaningful ways to restore the occupied land and all the sanctities.
Hezbollah also condemns the "Israeli" enemy's imposition of taxes on Christian houses of worshipping in the occupied city of al-Quds in an attempt to weaken the Christian existence there, which pushed the guardians of the church to close it in protest against such arbitrary measures.
Hezbollah strongly rejects such a step, and further stresses that the city of al-Quds is a place for all believers from different heavenly religions, and will remain as such, adding that governments, peoples and influential organizations must confront the "Israeli" occupation's attempts to abuse the Muslims and Christians' sanctities and do all what is possible to stabilize them in their land and protect their rights.
