A new study released by the Pew research center showed that, while Republicans stand staunchly in support of "Israel", support for the occupation entity among Democrats is dwindling.
According to the study released on Tuesday, 79 percent of Republicans sympathize with "Israel" over Palestinians while only 27 percent of Democrats sympathize more with the Zionist regime.
The poll also showed that while Republicans are relatively united on support for the "Israeli" entity, Democrats remain divided and support for "Israel" is in decline.
The study highlighted that two years ago, a poll revealed 43 percent of Democrats supported "Israel" while 29 percent sided with the Palestinians and 16 percent saying they did not have an opinion on the matter.
Republicans, on the other hand, have seen a 29 percentage point increase in their support for "Israel" since 2001.
The study was conducted among 1,503 adults during January of this year.
However, when it came to support for Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 52 percent of Republicans look kindly upon him while only 18 percent of Democrats find his actions favorable.
The poll also found the Democrats are more likely than Republicans to say that a two-state solution is possible.
