Deputy Secretary General of Bahraini al-Wefaq Islamic Society Sheikh Hussein al-Daihi uncovered in a statement the "dangerous deterioration in the health of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim due to the bad health situation he is suffering from and the accumulations of repercussions on his health since a very long time, especially that his eminence is under siege and house arrest since a year and a half, which humiliates the Bahraini people and in particular the "Shiite" component that believes in his leadership and guardianship."
Sheikh al-Daihi further stressed in his statement that "the world today is in front of an important moral and humanitarian responsibility to save the life of Sheikh Isa Qassim with all their possible abilities, and that this latest deterioration is an alert for everyone inside and outside Bahrain."
"Sheikh Qassim is a prominent religious and national leader and he is one of the founders of the modern state in Bahrain, and among those who put the first Constitution of Bahrain, his leadership also is followed by Bahraini people's political and popular majority."
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim al-Aradi told press that "the life of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, who is under house arrest, is in danger because of the internal hemorrhage he is suffering from," stressing that he must go to the hospital to undergo an urgent surgery.
