Al-Quds Force Commander Congratulates Imam Khamenei on Victory over Daesh

Commander of al-Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps [IRGC], Major General Qassem Soleimani, congratulated Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei on the collapse Daesh [the Arabic acronym for Takfiri terrorist ‘ISIS/ISIL' group] in Iraq and Syria.
In a congratulatory message to Imam Khamenei on Tuesday, General Soleimani hailed the "great victory" over Daesh which was materialized thanks to the prudent leadership of Imam Khamenei and the sacrifices of all resistance fighters in Iraq and Syria.
Backed by popular defense groups and Iranian military advisors, Iraqi and Syrian armed forces managed to flush Daesh terrorists out of their last strongholds in both countries, declaring full victory over the terror organization.
Soleimani praised the steadfastness of the Iraqi and Syrian nations, governments, armies and popular forces throughout the counter-terrorism battles, expressing gratitude for the contribution made by Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units [PMU], better known as Hashd al-Sha'abi, to the country's offensives against Daesh.
He also thanked Hezbollah for its "powerful presence" and the pivotal role it played on the battlefield against terrorists in Syria.
Soleimani made reference to Daesh's crimes during its "sinister" terror campaign, including mass beheadings, enslavements, and immolation of innocent people.
The Takfiri outfit, he added, managed to seize swathes of land in the two Arab states and unleash a "dangerous crisis" there by radicalizing and recruiting thousands of youths.
Daesh onslaught, he said, displaced millions and destroyed thousands of mosques and religious centers.
Soleimani further highlighted the destructive US role amid the regional fight against terror, saying Washington has been behind all the crimes committed by the Takfiri terrorists.
"All these crimes," Soleimani wrote, "according to the confession of the highest-ranking American official, who is now in charge of the country's presidency, have been planned and carried out by figures and organizations tied to the United States.
"The same method is being devised and implemented by the US current rulers, too," he added.
