Iraq's political leadership praised the victory achieved by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon against Daesh terrorists in Qalamoun, which led to militants being pushed away from Lebanon's eastern border. They hailed the righteousness of the decision to transfer the remaining members of the terrorist organization to Deir Ezzor, which is an integral part of the battle plan against Daesh.

In this context, the Deputy Chairman of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (Hash Al-Shaabi), Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandis, sent a letter to Hezbollah's Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stressing that the resistance would have no meaning if Sayyed Nasrallah was not in it and that resistance is meaningless if the Secretary-General of Hezbollah was not its messenger, script and starting point.

The letter read: "To Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the master of the Resistance and its spirit, the resurrection of the bullet and the strength at the border. The resistance has no meaning if you are not its master. The resistance is meaningless if you were not its messenger, script and starting point. We learned from you how to proceed with the march. We learned from the party's martyrs who were martyred in Iraq how to embrace the soil mixed with the values of common blood."

"More than three decades ago, it was the spark, and today the ‘launching' has turned into a project of freedom and your men became torches of liberty," Al-Mohandis continued "We are on the path of God Almighty. One front facing extremism, its platforms and the Zionist trenches. Your resistant people, supporters, and followers will march along your path that is not bound by borders and is not obstructed by those who spread false news."

"Your Eminenece, you were and will remain the title of glory and the conscious project of rejection. We were and will remain with you on the same project that stretches from the sky to the earth. Master of the resistance, we are with you.," Al-Mohandis concluded

* Maliki: Hezbollah's decision is correct

The Iraqi vice president and head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, said that "the decision to transfer a number of militants from the Daesh terror organization to Syria's Deir Ezzor constitutes a part of the current battle strategy against terrorism," explaining that each battle has its conditions and tools to achieve victory.

Maliki denounced the systematic campaign against the Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying that this campaign is led by ignorance, hatred and the enemies' toying with public opinion. He stressed that the decision taken by Hezbollah is correct.

Maliki described those who question the truth and Jihadism of Hezbollah and Sayyed Nasrallah to be that of a "penetrated mind".

The head of the State of Law Coalition pointed out that the talk about Deir Ezzor and Al-Bukamal is a Syrian matter rather than an Iraqi one. Therefore, such a procedure is imposed by the nature of the battles and what the fighter sees on the ground and not what is seen by the observer without fighting experience. At the same time he stated that the most important question to be asked is who allowed hundreds of Daesh militants to escape from Tal Afar after they have surrendered their weapons to the Peshmerga, making everyone think that Tal Afar was not liberated through battle but through a deal. He added that "we also respect the will of the field commander and the way to deal with the situation on the ground because he sees what the observer does not see. Can't then the agreement imposed by the military field in Iraq be permissible but is not permissible inside Syrian territory?"

Maliki warned of attempts to abuse and raise doubts to divide the resistance front fighting terrorism, saying "if they pushed the insurgents into Iraq, then we would have the right to speak. Herein lies the emphasis on the need for the Hashd to control the border, which was opposed by the international coalition."
