Dozens of children held a mass rally in front of the United Nations building in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday.

Civil Society Organizations in Yemen Condemn Killing of Yemeni Children

The protest organized by Yemeni civil societies was held in commemoration of the first anniversary of a Saudi-led attack at the Al-Falah School in Juma Bin Fadil district, of Haidan, in Saada governorate that martyred 10 children and injured scores of others.

The protest condemned the continuation of international silence regarding the ongoing Saudi bombardment of Yemen and the targeting of civilians including women and children.

Participants also demanded that Saudi Arabia and its allies be included in the violators and killers of children as well as work to activate the investigation mechanisms related to children protection.

They also called on countries selling arms to the Saudi-led coalition to stop selling weapons and pressure the alliance countries to end their war and lift the siege on Yemen.

Millions of children in Yemen are the victims of violence. Two years and a half of brutal war have pushed Yemen to the brink of famine and ruined ports and airports, leading to shortages of food, medicines and vital supplies.
