Saudi Crackdown: Unprecedented Attacks against Awamia Residents amid Heavy Military Campaign

Saudi forces intensified their attack in an unprecedented way against Awamia citizens who were supposed to stay safe at their houses.
The violent campaign comes as part of the attack against the Shia-populated town in the Qatif eastern province to oppress citizens and control their movements in parallel with destroying the historical Mosawara neighborhood and displacing its residents.
Meanwhile, local sources from inside Awamia reported Thursday that at least 6 citizens have been martyred after Saudi forces started shooting passers-by randomly. Later in the afternoon, the number of casualties raised to 8 after a new attack that targeted the neighborhoods of Rif and Shokrallah in the town.
According to the same sources, the Saudi forces imposed curfew in all of Awamia streets, shelling missiles and bombs against residential areas.
Also as a result of the attack, several injuries were reported, in addition to damages in houses and private properties.
This dangerous escalation by the Saudi regime followed some Riyadh courts' ratifications of execution sentences against 36 Shia citizens from Qatif, Ahsa'a and Medina.
The Saudi regime makes clearer everyday how deaf it is in front of human rights appeals to stop executing peaceful activists from the Qatif province.
