After Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's threats to target Haifa's ammonia tanks, the "Israeli" financial daily Globes said that "the municipality of Haifa on Sunday, resumed the decision of the city's regional court and judge to postpone the closure and emptying of its ammonia tanks."

According to the daily, Haifa lawyers appealed the decision after quoting Sayyed Nasrallah's threats last Thursday.

The municipality's memorandum of appeal read, "Those who arrogantly and irresponsibly chose to distrust the warnings of ten experts regarding an immediate and inherent danger behind the ammonia tank had better believe the warnings of Hizbullah's Secretary General who is known to stand by his terrifying threats."

"In the second Lebanon war, [Sayyed] Nasrallah shelled Haifa with hundreds of rockets, and the tanks were miraculously unharmed," the memorandum of appeal read.

In a related notion, Yonah Yahav, mayor of Haifa, called for the immediate dismantling of the ammonia facility.

Yahav said, "The threats of Hizbullah leader should be respected," adding that "in the meantime, the tanks contain ten thousand tons; and we should we aware of what that means."

"Last Friday, two containers containing two thousand tons of hazardous substances collided in Yokneam," the mayor of Haifa added.

He concluded: "It seems that I am the only Jew who took [Sayyed] Nasrallah's threats seriously."
