Syrian PM: There is Real Anti-Terrorism Alliance in Region

Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis said in a statement to al-Ahed news website during his visit to Islamic Republic of Iran, that "There is a real alliance in the region represented by Iran, Syria, Iraq, Russia and the Resistance to counter terrorism, curb its spread and eliminate it."

The primer added that "terrorism is a scourge that cannot settle in our regions, as no sovereign state or our brethren in the Resistance can accept the presence of terrorism."

Khamis pointed out that "The primary expectation is to get rid of the terrorist groups that came under the pretext of various situations."

Regarding his visit to Tehran, PM Imad Khamis said that "it is a natural thing in light of the deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries," adding that "There are permanent and reciprocal visits between both countries' officials."

"Our visit to Tehran was to draw the frameworks of economic cooperation, in particular, where several related issues had been discussed with our Iranian brothers in an effort to enhance the situation to meet the aspiration of both peoples," the Syrian PM concluded.
