Larijani: US House of Representatives Working on 50 Anti-JCPOA Plans

Addressing the Tuesday morning session of the Iranian parliament, he referred to allegations of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Paul Ryan about Iran's lack of commitment to the JCPOA and said apart from a few rival countries and some groups inside the US, a majority of world governments and nations are keen for Iran cooperation in the post-JCPOA era.

He said this is while the US House of Representatives is working on 50 anti-JCPOA plans two of which were endorsed by House members last week.

The speaker said the strange point about all this is the remarks by Ryan who accused Iran of violating the JCPOA in an attempt to cover up his own irresponsible and irrational acts.

Noting that many ranking American officials have over the past year commented on Iran's behavior towards the nuclear deal, he said even the US President too has for the fifth time stressed that he has no documents against Iran to prove it failed to comply with its JCPOA commitments.

He further noted that the European Union Foreign Policy chief too has repeatedly praised Iran's very excellent cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency [IAEA].

So, Larijani said, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives has to clarify the point whether he is unaware of all these comments in favor of Iran or he thinks they are not enough to prove Iran's commitment to the JCPOA.

He said the remarks by Paul Ryan once more reiterates the view by the Iranian Supreme Leader that US is not to be trusted because of its insincerity.

Or, maybe the US Speaker intends to create a serious problem for the President-elect Donald Trump by making such remarks knowing that Iran will harshly confront any irrational moves by the US, Larijani added.
