Salehi to Al-Ahed: Resistance will Attain Victory in Fight against Takfiris

The advisor to the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran and head of the Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi, congratulated the Lebanese in particular, and the free people of the world in general, on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Resistance during the July 2006 ["Israeli"] aggression.

In an exclusive interview with al-Ahed News Website, Salehi stressed that Lebanese-Iranian relations are long-standing and have historical foundations dating back five centuries.

Salehi said that the cultural and civilizational aspects were the foundation of these relations, adding "some senior Lebanese scholars such as the late Sheikh Baha'i Al-Ameli, was one of the immortal icons that linked the great Iranian people and the steadfast Lebanese with all their pride."

Salehi added that since the victory of the [Islamic] revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran revealed the dangerous nature of the Zionist entity. Its position stipulates that the removal of this cancerous gland ["Israel"] is the responsibility of all Muslims and freemen in the world.

The advisor further asserted that during the July 2006 aggression, the Mujahidin of Hizbullah shattered the myth of "Israeli" invincibility, creating a historical epic.

He noted that the war against Takfiri terrorism is a continuation of the July war and that victory is also forthcoming for the resistance fighters in this battle.
