Once again, it is Hizbullah's achievements in Syria that irritate "Israel" and its US supporters.

WP Urges US to Attack Hizbullah, Readers Respond: Stop Being Stupid!

Under the title, "The right target for the US in Syria: Hezbollah", the Washington Post US daily chose to lament the successive defeats of US-supported militants.

"The military situation in Syria has turned against the US-supported opposition over the past year," it mentioned, pointing out that Hizbullah "forces have been particularly effective along the border with Lebanon, which provides it with strategic depth and supply lines."

The WP further stated: Hizbullah "is a major factor in the military balance in Syria."

However, the writer Daniel Sewer decided to turn the defeat into an "Israeli"- US interest by playing on the fire of Middle East sectarianism.

"There is also a Shiite "terrorist" organization in Syria: Lebanon-based Hezbollah. It should not be immune..."

In this context, the Professor known with his close ties with AIPAC and the apartheid "Israeli" entity urged the US administration to take a military action against the Lebanese Resistance group.

"US targeting of Hezbollah would send a strong but still limited message to the Syrian opposition and its allies in Turkey and the Persian Gulf: We are prepared to attack Shiite as well as Sunni "terrorists"."

Given all the amount of biased and illogical points discussed in the WP's piece, the readers decided not to remain silent and here are some of the comments published by the daily itself:

jamespad29:

"Sounds like "Israel" is pressing now for the US to target Hezbollah. Hezbollah is only more entrenched in Syria due to "Israel's" and the US' as well as Saudis and Qataris and Turks asinine support of terrorists against Assad. Truth that won't be found in the mainstream media: Assad's govt. never DID ONE THING to justify all the attack against it by "Israel" and the US

Pamela Katz:

This sounds like the author wants the US involved in an additional, new conflict. Why? I see Netanyahu's hand all over this piece.

Doghouse:

Amazing nonsense. So bad it doesn't even qualify as an idea.

Chopper:

All the proto-Likudniks in the American foreign policy establishment (whom this guy wants to influence with his pathetic rant) of all administrations insist that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization because of its resistance to "Israeli" aggression.

Most European governments refused to go along as their governments are not yet suborned by a European version of AIPAC. Now it seems that AIPAC propaganda hasn't been able to maintain such perfidy and even the US no longer caves in to AIPAC demands.

Nick Choukor:

"Most American Policy Makers Believe that we have Hezbollah contained, and a direct American hit against it would be ill-advised, simply because it would be a grave destabilizing escalation. Hezbollah is fighting our enemies- groups who have attacked the homeland like 'ISIL', and others who aspire to do so like Nusra, and other US adversaries and enemies....Finally, it is clearly obvious to me that it is the Saudis are the ones behind this article, and behind the idea it advocates."

Ddmjlennox:

Reading Serwer`s opinion I am reminded of the WMD lies cooked up by the AIPACers re invading Iraq. eg .As Mearscheimer & Walt point out in their acclaimed book the "Israel" Lobby , the Iraq War was accomplished by and for AIPAC...

Only "Israel" has benefited from the Iraq invasion. Ie It ended Iraq`s support for some measure of justice for the indigenous people of Palestine. Now these same people are pushing the US to do the same to Iran.

It is time to change the US election campaign funding laws so that a lobby can no longer game the system & thereby control Congress against the interests of the nation.

Drip , drip , drip; on goes the propaganda for "Israel".

Aaraiinch:

Daniel Serwer is a lunatic and a coward. Thanks for the Likudnik history lesson of Hezbollah for dummies. Begging POTUS to attack Hezbollah in Syria is the most idiotically partisan thing I've heard any genocide-endorsing ever pundit say. How this man is gainfully employed I'll never understand. Herr Serwer should understand that Hezbollah is one of the most efficient fighting forces in the Middle East, protecting Syria and Lebanon from salafi nutjobs. Do you think all Americans are idiots?

People understand the difference between Wahabbi Sunni chauvinist jihadis and a Shia resistance to imperialism which respects plurality and coexistence and draws support from the vast majority of Middle Eastern Christians and seculars. In other words, there is quite a good reason Al Qaeda, "ISIS" and the rest of salafi scum imported to Syria are being singularly targeted - because they are threat to humanity, not just to innocent Syrians.

To put in really simple terms: if you like beheading, shariah law, enforced veiling, stonings, homophobic violence, mass rape, sexual slavery, jizya taxes on Christians and Druze, endless war, genocide and randomized terroristic attacks around the world you should support targeting Hezbollah in Syria. If you dislike any or all of those things (i.e. you have vaguely human ethical code) you should be supporting Hezbollah's advance in Syria. The rightful government of Syria taking back control of its territory from islamofascist lunatics is the only way stop the bloodshed in Syria. Anyone who claims the opposite simply wants to permanently cripple and Syria and keep it a desperate land ravaged by genocide. Cowardice and barbarity exemplified by the WP in publishing this filth.

Djones121:

"In short, US targeting of Hezbollah would mostly please and embolden Washington's friends and discomfit its antagonists."

In short, the Neo Con Dream soon to be brought to reality by Queen Hillary if she is elected in November.

The Neo Cons long to restart the Cold War and attack Iran, They see us as just proxies for Israel and Saudia Arabia.

Hey Bernie supporters, is this what you are signing up for?

Boveri:

Serwer thinks "Israel" will also be very appreciative of his suggestion to attack Hezbollah. Does it make sense for other than "Israel" promoters to attack a force that is at war with "ISIS".
