Away from the United Kingdom's "freedom of expression", criticizing "Israel" is a crime that even leads to the suspension of a British lawmaker.

British Freedom of Expression: Labor Lawmaker Suspended Over Anti-’Israel’ FB Comments!

Britain's main opposition Labor Party suspended a lawmaker on Wednesday for making anti-"Israel" posts on social media before she was elected to Parliament.

The party said Naz Shah had been barred from taking part in the party's activities or in participating in the grouping of Labor lawmakers in Parliament.

Shah was under pressure over comments including a 2014 Facebook post in which she shared a graphic that showed the outline of "Israel" superimposed on a map of the US under the headline "Solution for "Israel"-Palestine Conflict - Relocate "Israel" into United States."

She was elected to Parliament last year for Bradford West, a northern England constituency with a large Muslim population. Her 2014 posts were re-published this week by a right-wing political blogger.

Despite her apology, Shah was forced to resign.

Shah had already resigned as an aide to Labor economy spokesman John McDonnell and been reprimanded by party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Some Labor lawmakers accused him of dithering for at first declining to suspend Shah, then changing his mind.
