More Lebanese Deported From UAE

Several more Lebanese expats had been informed that they are to be deported from the United Arab Emirates, as tensions soar between Lebanon and Gulf countries.
The Kuwaiti Al-Qabas newspaper reported Saturday that a number of Lebanese people had complained to the Lebanese consulate in UAE about a decision to expel them.
The newspaper highlighted that the expelled Lebanese included Christians.
No additional information was given.
The ongoing decision to deport Lebanese expats from the Gulf Cooperation Countries comes as part of an intensified campaign against the Lebanese Resistance by Saudi Arabia and the other five Gulf states.
Other Gulf states, such as Bahrain and Kuwait, have also taken measures against Lebanese nationals.
Saudi security forces arrested a Shiite preacher, the kingdom's Al-Watan newspaper reported last week.
The United Arab Emirates had also reportedly put seven people on trial.
The kingdom had halted two military and security aid packages worth $4 billion.
It urged its citizens to leave Lebanon and avoid traveling there. Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait followed suit with similar travel advisories, while the United Arab Emirates banned its nationals from travelling to Lebanon.
