’Israeli’ Forces Shoot Palestinian in Gaza

"Israeli" forces shot and injured a Palestinian with live fire when clashes broke out east of al-Buriej refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip Friday, medics said.

Medical sources reported that a Palestinian youth was shot and taken to Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah for treatment, without specifying the youth's condition.

Relatively, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip crowd near the borders with "Israel" every Friday to show solidarity with what Palestinians in besieged coastal enclave have termed the "al-Quds Intifada" taking place in the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds.

Nearly 30 Palestinians were martyred by "Israeli" forces in the Gaza Strip since the Intifada of Palestinian youth spread in October, the majority shot dead during clashes on the Gaza-"Israeli"-occupied border.

Besides, more than 1,400 Palestinians were injured by the Zionist regime forces since the start of this year, the majority during clashes that broke out with the "Israeli" military during protests in the occupied West Bank, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

In this regard, UN rights monitor to the occupied Palestinian territory Makarim Wibisono last week condemned excessive use of force used by "Israeli" military forces in the context of protests and urged the Zionist authorities to comply with international law regarding the use of force and firearms.
