GAZA CITY--A senior Palestinian activist has been martyred and at least four other people wounded in an 'Israeli' airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip, health officials have said.
The man was identified as Ibrahim Abu Olba, 42, from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a small combative faction that has claimed responsibility for recent rocket attacks against the Zionist regime.
Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry said he died of his wounds in a Gaza hospital.
Medical workers said four bystanders were lightly wounded in the attack.
The 'Israeli' occupying military confirmed that it carried out the strike targeting Abu Olba.
The vehicle was hit in the town of Beit Lahiya near the Gaza border.
Earlier, the occupying regime said it would resume fuel shipments to Gaza's power station.
The regime cut supplies after Palestinian activists killed two Zionists in an attack on the Nahal Oz fuel terminal on Wednesday.
A spokesman for 'Israeli' war minister Ehud Barak said the terminal would re-open on Wednesday, but warned the resumption of fuel deliveries might be delayed if there was a serious threat to security.
The Nahal Oz attack also prompted an incursion by 'Israeli' troops into the central Gaza Strip on Friday during which at least eight Palestinians were martyred, including two boys aged 12 and 13.
